ABOUT
Lamamotte Gite is set in a beautiful, quiet location in the countryside of the Lot et Garonne, South West France, surrounded by fields and plum orchards.
It is a wonderful place to come and stay for a relaxing break, cycling or activity holiday.
The Gite is a recent barn conversion and offers fabulous characterful features such as high ceilings, oak beams, stone walls, wood floors and a wood burning stove. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are all modern and the gite is spacious (100 sq meters) and very light.
It is all on one level and the front faces the gardens with a fabulous pool view.
GITE RENTAL
The Gite has 2 bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 4 people. For cycling and activity holidays we also utilise the Main House which sleeps 8 people in 4 further bedrooms.- please see the Cycling & Activity Holiday section below.
The Gite has a fully equipped kitchen for self catering and an open plan lounge/dining area.
There is a large ensuite bathroom shared by both bedrooms and a separate toilet.
The large pool is great for swimming and there are Roman steps with a jacuzzi. Our guests have sole use of the pool.
There is a private terrace and garden at the back with shade, eating area and BBQ .
There is also a pétanque court (boules) which is located at the back of the barn and guests can walk in the plum orchards around the Gite.

CYCLING & ACTIVITY HOLIDAYS
Jess and Mark are keen road cyclists and (as an addition to the gite) offer fully tailored, small and friendly, road cycling holidays for groups of 4-10 people.
The Lot et Garonne has quiet country roads and rolling hills and we believe this makes it especially good for cyclists.
There are river valleys, chateaux and castles, medieval Bastide towns and rural landscapes with agriculture and vineyards.
You can choose some very hilly routes or flatter routes, escorted or fully self-guided,with our favourite shared routes.
Our escorted rides can be tailored to suit a groups abilities and experience.
Guests can bring their own bikes (flying to Bergerac Airport) and we can arrange airport transfers.
We also can arrange hire of quality carbon road bikes and Electric bikes which are ready for guests on arrival.
There is secure bike storage and use of a bike stand and tools plus we can provide recovery assistance and a technician.
Our cycling and activity holidays make use of our beautiful bedrooms in both the Gite and the main farmhouse (a mixture of double and twin rooms), most with en suite, all with access to the beautiful pool.
Guests can choose to be self-catering or can have continental breakfast with a 3 course evening meal, or a mixture of both.
We can also arrange themed party nights such as a BBQ, Paella or traditional French cuisine..
There are many other activities on offer such as Hiking, Tennis, Canoeing, Kayaking, Yoga, Boat Trips and Wine Tasting. A holiday can be fully tailored to your group including any or all of the above activities.
Bespoke holidays can be arranged for 4 or 7 nights.
The nearest airport is Bergerac and airport transfers are available.
Prices are available on request and are dependent on numbers, food choices and activities if required.
